Team
treatment or coordination of your care between your family dentist
and Dr. Trepp. Your family dentist will make sure all cavities have been
treated before starting your braces. Your family dentist will do a periodontal
evaluation and provide a periodontal clearance statement to Dr. Trepp
indicating that the health of your gums and underlying bone are free of
inflamation-active
gum disease. Your family dentist will remove any teeth that Dr. Trepp
prescribed to correct your bite after evaluating your treatment plan. Your
family dentist will schedule your cleaning and cavity checkup visits during
your orthodontic care. Dr. Trepp will send his treatment recommendations
to your family dentist before starting any treatment and reports on your
progress during treatment. Dr. Trepp will reinforce the need to keep your
regular visits with your family dentist because Dr. Trepp is only an aid
to your family dentist and does not replace your family dentist.
Instruction on how to clean your teeth with
braces, often a prescription for a fluoride

a year.
The use of the latest technology to speed your
treatment, minimize discomfort and impact on your lifestyle.

recipes can ease the transition.
A treatment time of 6-36 months depending on the complexity of treatment.
The national average is 27 months for full treatment of the top and bottom
teeth.
When
you get your braces off or finish your last aligner, a period of retainer
wear will follow; often for a lifetime
A discussion of the effect of wisdom teeth on
the orthodontic result
The degree of success is almost always a reflection of a person's cooperation
during treatment and retention. Active patient participation is always
essential for success.
Please assist us by presenting the following information at the time of your first visit:
* Any panoramic X-ray taken
within the past three years.
* Your insurance card and insurance benifits booklet
if you have orthodontic coverage. By providing this information at the
first visit, we will be able to call your carrier for their estimate of
your benefits. We accept all insurance plans
where you can choose your own provider. However, we do not participate
in some insurance plans. If we do not particpate in a plan, it is very
likely that we have evaluated that plan and determined that our participation
would not allow us to maintain and provide the high level of care we are
committed to. We refuse to compromise our patient's care due to an insurance
carrier's restrictions and limitations. If you feel that your are entitled
to more insurance benefits than we can verify, contact your employer. The
services covered under your plan are selected and paid for by your employer.
Employers have a choice in the level of coverage they offer you and often
make this choice based on their expense. Be aware that most insurance plans
do not cover all the costs of orthodontic treatment. If your coverage does
not meet your needs, tell whoever buys your coverage to buy better coverage
for you the next time they update your plan.
